Strong emotions can be overwhelming. They can get mixed and confused, or you can feel many things at the same time, without even knowing why. Or you can feel certain emotions in situations where they are not appropriate – you may laugh when you are stressed or get angry when you should feel sad, for example. Or there might be certain unpleasant emotions that keep coming back no matter how hard you try to keep them away.
